"Yights! Yights!" When my daughter was about two or three years old, she would say yights instead of lights whenever she saw Christmas light decor. It's one of my favorite memories that we laugh about every holiday season and driving around to see holiday lights is one of our family's favorite activities before Christmas. Therefore, when we found out about Daytona's Magic of Lights experience on the International Speedway, we were thrilled and had to try it! Keep reading to learn how you can experience the Magic of Lights during the holidays!

We took a road trip to Daytona over the weekend to experience this magical drive-through light display. Luckily, Daytona is a quick road trip for us, about two hours away. We spent half the day in Daytona, visiting the beach and the boardwalk. The kids had time to play with the arcades and a few other games before we left to check out the light display.
I'm happy to report that Magic of Lights was worth the drive! We lucked out with the weather, adding even more to the perfect experience. It was raining the day before in our town, and it supposedly rained half the day in Daytona before we arrived. Thankfully, by the time we checked out the light display, the weather was cool with clear night skies.
All the light displays were beautiful. These photos don't come close to capturing the full experience. You'll have to see it for yourself!

Experience the Magic of Lights this Christmas
You can spot the lit-up track from far away, creating even more anticipation. My favorite part about driving through the lights is being able to see the displays up close and personal even while you're in your car. It's a fun experience driving around neighborhoods to see how everyone decorates their houses with holiday lights, but it's usually from afar.
The large bright sizes of each display added to the whole magical experience. You'll definitely want to bring your camera along while driving through.
I love the light tunnels that had animated lights, such as icicles falling or reindeer jumping over your car.
I also love the variety of the themes for the light displays. They had everything from your traditional Christmas displays like Santa, reindeer, dancing figures, nutcracker soldiers, and little drummers...
...to rockets, space shuttles, and planets.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Christmas light display without the Nativity scene commanding its own section of the drive-through
It was a sight to see large animal light displays like this pack of wolves.
And I think the following lights are ducks?
